ASTM A213 T9 is a standard specification for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger tubes. The T9 grade is a specific chromium-molybdenum alloy steel known for its excellent elevated temperature strength and oxidation resistance.

 

 

1. Key Characteristics & Applications

  • Primary Use: These tubes are primarily designed for high-temperature service environments, making them ideal for:

    • Power Generation Boilers: Superheater and reheater tubes.

    • Fossil Fuel Plants: Heat exchangers, condenser tubes, and piping systems.
